COVID-19 update

As your local, trusted energy partner, we at Central Electric have been working hard to make sure we continue making decisions that are in the best interest of our members, employees and community. Supporting our members, as well as the local communities we serve, is a vital part of our mission, which has been more important than ever.

From the start, we were quick to put in place measures to help ease the economic burden for our members, including postponing disconnects, waiving late payment fees and providing payment arrangements free of charge. The suspension of disconnections, penalties and fees is being extended through July 29, in adherence to Governor Cooper's Executive Order #142.

During this time, we do encourage our members to continue to maintain payments to your account, as you're able, to prevent unmanageable balances when we eventually return to a normal business schedule. However, once the executive order expires, we want you to know that we are still here for you and we will be offering repayment plans (interest free) to help with any outstanding balances that may accrue during this time.

For more information on ways we are supporting our members and community during this time, visit our COVID-19 page. If you have any questions about your account, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at 919-774-4900 or 1-800-446-7752. We care about those we serve and we are always here to help you in any way we can.
